REESE REBECCA BRYANT has arrived!!!

LIFE HAS BEEN A WHIRLWIND SINCE REESE WAS BORN 11 DAYS AGO. MOST OF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN POSTED ON FACEBOOK, BUT HERE'S THE OFFICIAL BLOG VERSION.

Our sweet little Reese was born Tuesday morning, April 21, 2009 at 9:09 a.m. Rebecca was due on the 15th and even though she was dilated to almost 4 and 60% effaced Reese needed a little coaxing like her big sisters. Rebecca was induced the night before and had the nicest labor ever. A lovely epidural helped, and after only 3 pushes Reese made her debut. She is a beautiful little girl and such a sweet combination of her sisters. She probably looks more like Paige, but her coloring is not as dark. Rebecca thinks she might have light eyes like Reese. It will be fun to watch her grow. Rebecca feels great and she and Mark are so happy to check this off their things-to-do-before-we-move-on-May 4th list.

Claire is quite the Mama's girl, so we've all been a bit concerned at her reaction to the baby. At the hospital Mark asked her if she wanted to see the baby and Claire said, "NOOOO" and pushed her away.

It was priceless!

The girls looked so cute with their matching Big Sister shirts. Reese has one that matches, but it says Baby Sister.

Mark's mom, Aunt Kira and I took the girls to the hospital to visit after Preschool that morning. This had to be the world's smallest hospital room, and she had a roomate!

I finished her little quilt Sunday night.
Reese is grandchild #7. The count is now 3 boys and 4 girls, and Melissa has the wild card coming in August. It just doesn't get much better than this!
